Will Bing become the King of Search Engines?

Earlier this month, Hitwise, a leading online competitive intelligence service published a report about number of US searches on popular search engines. While Google was still the most popular search engine last month, Microsoft’s Bing grew at a whopping average rate of 25%! Now that’s some solid growth.

Another interesting news was the increase in the number of keywords used in the search queries. People are using up to 5 – 8 words in their searches.  You can read more about the actual statistics at the report here.

I am still not sure about Bing, but the advertising and plugs are everywhere. They will make a decent splash, but to take down Google will be a long effort.

I hope so! It’s time for some serious competition to burst the bubble of google’s big head. Competition is good so I hope that will make google have a better customer service cuz they suck at that.

Bing does give search results much like Google but i would have to say that Google still gives more relevant search results

I agree that Google needs some healthy competition to give us user and especially advertisers and businesses an alternative option
