<p>To appear in the search listings, your site needs to be Google indexed. This is actually done by special software called a crawler or spider. If your website is new, check whether you have any links to a site already indexed by Google. If not, add links and see if your site has started appearing in the search listings. But, if your site is an old one, which disappeared from the search engines recently, it is likely that your site is banned by Google. You can check this using a web browser known as Lynx. Browse your site using Lynx. Now you can view the website the same way it appears to the crawler. <p>Apart from the reasons listed above, there may also be other reasons contributing to the problem. Algorithms used by Google can recognize a duplicate site. There may be hidden texts or links in your webpage, which can be found using Lynx. Check if there is any duplicate content in your webpage and also, if your page is stuffed with non-relevant keywords. You should also check if any Google banned website is linked to your site. The crawlers will not follow your website from a Google banned site.</p>

<p><strong>On-page SEO</strong></p>
<p>On-page SEO is the trickiest part in an SEO strategy. Hiding keywords and also the internal links from the eyes of your visitors but still hosting them on the page for attracting the search engine crawlers to your website is an age old SEO strategy. However with the passing time, the Web spam team of Google has grown smarter than the world wide spammers.
