Google’s software engineer, Samarth Keshava, stated that the company will now show more results from a relevant website, based on the user’s strong interest in a particular query. For instance, if a user searches for exhibitions at amnh, Google will now show multiple results, all related to the query, from the site amnh.org. Previous to the implementation of the logic, Google used to display only two results from the same domain. However, now that the logic is added to Google’s system, the search engine will display as many as seven results from the same domain, all giving relevant information about the query asked by the user. This will only help the users to find the details that they are probably looking for in the particular domain at a faster speed. The logic has its own pros and cons and hence is not quite accepted by several webmasters.

Google’s Experiment

Before releasing a new algorithm, Google experiments the new features across a smaller panel of users. If the new change is pleasantly accepted by the users, it is then released across the entire web. However, while the jury is still finding it difficult to judge about the recent tweak, a new experiment is seen across the web which automatically alters the search results just as you type the desired query. The new logic looks more like the autosuggest system taking up the SERP. However, this as well, is just an experiment being performed by Google and has gained enough concern of the search engine’s users. In case the system comes live, the SEOs will have one more thing to consider as this will greatly affect the search method commonly followed by the searchers. A solution to this issue is that you will now have to focus more on the initial words of your keywords and not on the keyword phrases.

Google uses different IPs to crawl sites

A discussion held by the SEOs in Webmasterworld, also including Barry Schwartz from Search Engine Roundtable, stated that they have for the first time discovered Googlebots of using different IPs, all at the same time, for crawling into domains. According to another webmaster who had taken a small peek into the system after being notified by a fast action on his website, stated that he had never seen a spider crawl that fast. He further mentioned that it was only then that he realized that the Googlebots were using different but valid Google IPs (some 10 – 20), all rushing to a website at the same time.
